A shocking allegation has emerged from the Sadakhlo border crossing between Georgia and Armenia, where an Indian traveller claimed that 56 Indians were subjected to inhuman treatment by Georgian authorities.

Dhruvee Patel, an Indian national, shared her ordeal on Instagram, stating that despite having valid e-visas and documents, the group was detained for over five hours in freezing weather without access to food or washrooms.

According to Patel, their passports were confiscated for more than two hours with no communication from border officials. She alleged that the group was forced to sit on the roadside like cattle, while officials filmed them but prohibited them from recording anything in return.

“The authorities did not even check our documents properly, and simply claimed the visas were wrong,” Patel wrote.

Calling the treatment “shameful and unacceptable,” she urged the Indian government and the Ministry of External Affairs to take a strong stand.

Her post quickly went viral, sparking outrage and debate on social media. Many users demanded accountability from Georgian authorities and better protection for Indian travellers abroad.
