Indian student brutally assaulted in front of wife in Australia, suffers brain trauma, facial fracture

A 23-year-old Indian student, Charanpreet Singh, was reportedly assaulted in Adelaide, Australia, by five men hurling racial slurs on Saturday.
As per reports, he was hospitalised after suffering from brain trauma and multiple facial fractures.
According to Australia Today, Singh was out with his wife near Kintore Avenue when, around 9.22 pm on Saturday, he was ambushed by a group of five men armed with “metal knuckles or sharp objects”.
The scuffle reportedly started over car parking and took a fatal turn. “They just said, ‘F— off, Indian,’ and after that they just started punching,” 9News quoted the victim.
As per the local news, Singh was left unconscious on the road with serious injuries, including facial fractures and brain trauma.
As per reports, Adelaide police are investigating the case and reviewing CCTV footage in the area.
Notably, a similar event took place on Saturday in Dublin, Ireland, where an Indian man was assaulted and stripped by a group of men in a possible hate crime.
The assault on the Indian man by a group on Saturday has been condemned as “mindless, racist violence”, according to a local news channel.
