Indian-origin evicted in Canada

In another incident of an Indian facing accommodation issues abroad, an Indian-origin man has been subjected to forceful eviction by his Canadian landlord.

A video of this ordeal has been doing the rounds on social media, where the landlord could be spotted carrying off the Indian-origin tenant’s belongings from the property.

The video was posted on X (formerly Twitter), and its caption claims that the Indian-origin man “had a fight with the landlord because (sic) he was not vacating the house. Then the landlord came and started moving his stuff out by himself”.

It also claims that this exchange took place in Brampton City in Canada’s Ontario province.

While some users described this incident as “damaging India’s global image”, some sided with the tenant and said that this was ‘sheer hooliganism’.

Meanwhile, many drew out a jolly comparison of handling tenant misbehaviours by landlords in the two countries, Canada and India.
