Indian-origin man dies of cardiac arrest in US, H-1B stress claimed behind death

A 30-year-old Indian tech professional, Sasikanth Reddy, passed away in the United States after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest.
According to information shared on his fundraiser page, Sasikanth moved to the US in 2018 with aspirations of building a stable future. Coming from a middle-class family in India, he completed two master’s degrees and worked tirelessly while carrying the hopes of his parents back home.
Despite strong academic credentials and consistent efforts, Sasikanth was unsuccessful in multiple attempts to secure an H-1B work visa through the lottery system, says the fundraiser page.
It said that the repeated rejections and prolonged visa uncertainty caused him immense stress over the past several months, even as he continued working long hours without giving up.
In the early hours of February 16, Sasikanth reportedly complained of severe chest pain and was rushed to a hospital. Doctors attempted emergency treatment, but he could not be revived.
Tragically, since leaving India in 2018, Sasikanth had not been able to return home or meet his parents for nearly eight years.
A crowdfunding appeal has been initiated by his friends to support his grieving parents during this difficult time. The appeal seeks financial assistance and prayers, urging people to contribute or share the message to help the family cope with their loss.
