Indian-Origin man arrested in San Diego, held for removal proceedings

Police in San Diego have arrested an Indian-origin man with a criminal history.

According to the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Jashanpreet Singh was taken into custody by ICE San Diego officers. Officials described Singh as a criminal alien and confirmed that he will remain in detention pending removal (deportation) proceedings.

Authorities stated that Singh has a criminal record that includes threatening a crime with intent to terrorize, assault with a deadly weapon, and driving under the influence (DUI).
