Indian-origin financial influencer Akshat Shrivastava took to social media to share why moving out of India was the best decision for him.
Posting on his X handle, he wrote, “I saw, day by day, people dumbly defending high taxes, stupid economic moves, jobless growth, crony businesses, and cheering for their own demise. That was the reason I decided to move out.”
He shared that he is very happy with his decision.
Akshat mentioned that he used to laugh when people said the ultimate goal of Indians is to leave India, but now he believes it is the best decision.
“I was a stupidly patriotic person. Once, I even left Singapore and came back to India to build a life here, but there was no point,” he added.
After criticising India’s high taxes and economic policies, he clarified, “India was and will always be my motherland. I love it and always will.”
Jibe on language row
Akshat further stated that he sees no point in subjecting his children to the hate, bigotry, and absolute stupidity that exists in India today.
Addressing the language row debates in Bengaluru and currently in Maharashtra, he urged Indians to consider moving to Dubai or Singapore, adding:
“No one expects you to learn the local language there.”
He also pointed out that in those countries, you would not be thrashed by goons for not speaking the local language.
