Indian-origin doctor in US arrested for inappropriately touching a female patient

Sanjay Agarwal, a 68-year-old Indian-origin doctor was arrested on September 25 on the charge of sexual assault on a female patient during consultation.

According to Milpitas Police, the incident was first reported on September 16, 2025, when a woman alleged that Dr. Agarwal had inappropriately touched her during a medical consultation at his Milpitas office. Following an investigation, detectives determined the accusation to be credible.

“On September 24, 2025, detectives from the Criminal Investigations Bureau arrested Dr Agarwal at his office in Milpitas. He was later booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for sexual battery,” the police said.
