A Dubai-based Indian resident was left astonished after witnessing the city’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) fix a pothole within a few hours of it being reported.
The incident came to light after Reshabh Nagpal shared a video on Instagram, documenting the swift action taken by RTA workers. According to Nagpal, the repair began shortly after his friend filed a complaint about the damaged stretch of road. In the footage, municipal staff can be seen clearing debris, levelling the surface, and freshly paving and painting the road all within a single afternoon.
Nagpal expressed disbelief at how quickly the problem was resolved, remarking that similar repairs elsewhere could take weeks or even months. “It’s incredible how fast everything happened. The road was fixed and reopened the same day,” he said, highlighting Dubai’s remarkable efficiency.
The video has since gone viral, drawing widespread praise from social media users impressed by the city’s prompt response.
Many commenters lauded Dubai’s public service systems, with one writing, “We should learn from them,” and another calling it ‘instant service.’.
