Indian man dies in Dubai while training for scuba diving
An Indian-origin engineer tragically drowned during a scuba diving training session in Dubai, reportedly due to breathing difficulties, as per reports.
Issac Olakkengil, who was reportedly on vacation with his family, had gone to Jumeirah Beach for a scuba diving training session along with his wife Reshma and brother Ivin.
According to reports, the incident occurred during the training session when Issac experienced difficulty in breathing. In a state of panic, he moved away from the training pit and eventually drowned. The panic also affected Reshma and Ivin, who struggled in the water as well.
All three were rescued and rushed to the hospital. However, Issac could not be saved. His brother Ivin collapsed at the scene and was later placed under medical observation. Reshma is reportedly stable.
Dubai police have launched an investigation into the incident and have seized the scuba diving equipment used during the training.
