An Indian national, Mohammed Ahmed, in a viral video on X claimed that he was lured to Russia for employment but is now trapped in a life-threatening situation, allegedly forced to undergo weapons training and participate in the Ukraine conflict.

Ahmed, a resident of Hyderabad, Telangana, and holder of Indian passport, reportedly left India on April 25, 2025, after being offered a construction job by Trust Consultancy, a Mumbai-based firm run by one Adil.

According to Ahmed, there was no work available for nearly a month after his arrival, and he, along with around 30 others, was shifted to a remote area and forcibly given weapons training. Six of the group are reported to be Indian nationals.

He alleges that 26 individuals from his group were later taken to the border to fight against Ukrainian forces. Ahmed, who suffered a fracture in his right leg after jumping from a military vehicle to escape, said that approximately 17 people in his group have already died in combat. He claims he is now being coerced to fight under threat of death.

Ahmed, according to the video, is the sole breadwinner for his family, which includes his paralyzed mother, his wife, and two minor children aged 10 and 4. The matter has been brought to the attention of the Indian Embassy in Moscow, with requests for immediate intervention and repatriation.

Spokesperson Amjed Ullah Khan of Majlis Bachao Tahreek (MBT) took to X has urged authorities to contact Ahmed directly and secure his safe return.
