Indian jewellery shop in US targeted for robbery, third time in 12 years

A robbery had taken place at ‘Virani Jewellers’, an Indian jewellery shop located in New Jersey, USA. On Saturday, June 7, the robbers, in broad daylight, stole jewellery worth hundreds of thousands of dollars within minutes before fleeing the scene. 

According to preliminary information, the robbers arrived at the Virani Jewellers showroom around 12.15 pm in a black car. They stormed into the store, vandalised the premises, and created.

Notably, this is not the first time Virani Jewellers has been targeted, a similar robbery occurred on June 12, 2022, when masked thieves looted jewellery worth lakhs of dollars in a matter of minutes.

Due to their face coverings, identifying the suspects has proven difficult. Fortunately, none of the staff present during the robbery were harmed. The entire incident was captured on the store’s CCTV cameras.

Earlier, on October 31, 2013, Virani Jewelers located in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York, was also targeted in a robbery. 

A suspect wearing a Halloween mask and armed with a gun forced an employee to open the safe. The robbers then fled with jewellery worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
