An Indian American couple marked their first wedding anniversary by sharing a lighthearted video on social media about the unusual questions they’ve been asked since tying the knot.
Deepak Nanda, a canvas artist, and his wife Hannah, who currently lives in Bengaluru, posted the video on Instagram where they quizzed each other about the “weirdest” questions people ask them about their marriage.
In the clip, Deepak asked Hannah what odd questions she receives. Hannah revealed that strangers often slide into her comments and DMs asking whether she has a sister they could marry. She added that another common one is, “Can’t wait to see your babies,” which she finds awkward.
When Hannah flipped the question back to Deepak, he responded with a sarcastic remark: “That is arranged marriage, no?” He joked that his parents had supposedly gone to Michigan to find Hannah, to which Hannah humorously added, “Or maybe my parents traveled from the US to India in search of a husband.”
The couple ended the video by confirming with a laugh, “Of course, it’s a love marriage.”
