A clash occurred between Khalistani supporters and Indian fans outside the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) during the India-Australia Test match on Thursday.

Around a dozen Khalistani supporters were seen waving flags and shouting anti-India slogans, which was strongly opposed by Indian fans.

As per a viral video of the confrontation, Indian supporters were seen chanting ‘Bharat Zindabad’ (Long Live India) slogans, attempting to silence them.

The fourth Boxing Day Test match of the five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 will be played from Thursday at Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Australian captain Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bat first. Before the match, an altercation occurred outside the ground between Khalistani supporters and Indian fans on Wednesday. In the viral video, both groups can be seen holding flags and continuously shouting slogans while clashing.

The chaos was dispersed by Victoria Police. Despite not having tickets to the Melbourne Test match, the Khalistani supporters had arrived in the morning solely to create a disturbance. However, the situation was soon brought under control. The video of the entire incident is currently trending on social media.
