‘How can you stop us?’ Indian-origin woman confronts JD Vance over strict immigration policies

An Indian-origin woman engaged in a tense question-and-answer session with US Vice President JD Vance over the strict policies that are turning out to be a nightmare for NRIs in the US at an event in Mississippi, as per reports.
During an event at the University of Mississippi, an Indian-origin woman reportedly asked Vance that when he talks about too many immigrants in the US, who decides that number?
She argued that immigrants’ youth and wealth were spent in this country. She said that the US doesn’t owe the immigrants anything, they have worked hard for their place.
The woman was referring to the Trump administration’s strict policies on legal immigration through changes in the H-1B system. Moreover, around 6,000 visas of international students have also been revoked.
As per US media, the woman asked how a vice-president can say things such as ‘We have too many of them now, and we are going to take them out’, to the people who have come to the US by the path offered by the country itself.
“To this, Vance reportedly said that just because one person or 10 people or 100 people came in illegally and contributed to the US, does that mean that we are thereby committed to let in a million or 10 million or 100 million people a year in the future”
Vance reasoned that many people want to come to the US, but his job is to look out for the people of the US, as per reports.
