Gym trainer posing as RAW agent rapes NRI woman in Agra
A gym trainer, posing as a RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) agent was accused of raping a Canada-based Non-Resident Indian (NRI) woman multiple times in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
A First Information Report accused Sahil Sharma, the gym trainer and his friend involved in the sexual assault. The FIR was lodged under sections 64 (rape), 123 (causing hurt using poison), 351 (2) (criminal intimidation), 74 (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and section 67 of the IT Act.
The accused befriended the NRI woman on dating application Tinder and met her at a hotel in Agra in March this year, as per media reports.
The meeting turned into a horrific crime when Sharma mixed intoxicants in the victim’s drink and sexually assaulted her in an unconscious state.
In her FIR, the NRI woman claimed that the accused said that he was a RAW agent and threatened her.
Even after her departure to Canada, the accused constantly reminded her of being a RAW agent and invited her back to India to ‘meet his family’. After she came back at his request, she was raped multiple times in Agra and Delhi.
