Hate group’s anti-Indian, anti-Hindu protest in USA’s Irving sparks outrage

A group of masked men associated with the far-right outfit ‘Take Action Texas’ staged a hate-fueled protest in Irving on Thursday, displaying offensive signs targeting Hindu deities and Indian immigrants. The group, which has a history of anti-immigrant activism, reportedly gathered at multiple locations across the city.
The protesters carried placards reading “Don’t India My Texas”, “Deport H-1B Scammers”, and “Reject Foreign Demons” which referred to Hindu gods and goddesses. Poster also read “Jesus Christ is Lord.”
In a social media post on X, the group claimed the demonstration was a response to what it called ‘Diwali garbage’ and alleged demographic changes in Irving due to Indian professionals on H-1B visas.
The incident has triggered widespread outrage within the Indian-American community and civil rights groups, who have condemned the act as a blatant display of hate speech and religious bigotry.
