Gangster Satinderjeet Singh, also known as Goldy Brar, has been added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list, with the US agency offering a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to his arrest.

The FBI announced the move on September 28, saying Singh is wanted for his alleged involvement in the Lawrence Bishnoi Organised Crime Group, which the agency alleges has carried out violent activities in Southern California and across the United States and Canada.

The FBI said Singh is based in the US and is allegedly the North American leader of the Bishnoi group. It warned that he should be considered armed, extremely violent and dangerous, and an escape risk.

$1 Million Reward For Information

The FBI said it is offering up to $1 million for information that leads to Singh's arrest.

The agency said members of the public should not approach him, but instead contact the FBI or other law enforcement agencies if they have information about his whereabouts. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to the FBI.

Singh is the 543rd fugitive to be added to the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.

Alleged Role In Bishnoi Crime Group

According to the FBI, Singh allegedly served as one of the leaders of the Bishnoi enterprise and helped direct the activities of its members and associates across different countries.

The agency alleges that the group has been involved in targeted assassinations, shootings, murders, kidnappings, extortion, assaults, and the trafficking of narcotics and weapons.

The FBI's allegations form part of a federal investigation into India-based transnational organised crime groups operating across several countries.

Charges Filed In California

A federal arrest warrant was issued for Singh in the US District Court for the Central District of California. He faces charges including RICO conspiracy, conspiracy to interfere with and attempted interference with commerce by extortion, and conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances.

The allegations have not been adjudicated at trial.

Nijjar Killing Allegation

The FBI has also linked Singh to the alleged assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a prominent Sikh political and religious figure who was killed outside a Sikh temple in Surrey, British Columbia, on June 18, 2023.

According to the FBI, Singh and Lawrence Bishnoi are charged with ordering the assassination. The agency identifies the victim in its court-related description as “H.S.N.”

Operation Hardball

Singh's addition to the Ten Most Wanted list follows Operation Hardball, a years-long US investigation into India-based transnational organised crime groups.

On July 7, US authorities announced charges against 37 defendants connected to three such groups, with 24 defendants arrested or already in custody at the time. The investigation involves allegations of racketeering, targeted killings, shootings, extortion and international narcotics trafficking.

The FBI said four additional fugitives have since been captured, while Singh and four other defendants remain wanted.
