Former American President Donald Trump’s political future lies in the hands of an Indian-origin judge, Sri Srinivasan.

Trump has been facing charges in the 2021 Capitol Hill case, for which he is set to seek a review.

It is noteworthy that Trump was accused of trying to subvert the 2020 election results. Trump could be tried for the acts conducted by his supporters at the White House on Jan 6, 2021, after the election results, according to a court ruling.

The court has quashed Trump’s appeal and exempted him from legal immunity in this case.

The 77-year-old former president is now left with two options, either to review this ruling in the Supreme Court or in the Appeals Court itself.

Taking this case to the Supreme Court may bring an early result, but it could be ruled against him.

Taking this up to the Appeals Court may extend the hearing for a period longer than the election date, i.e., Nov 5, which could prove to be beneficial for him.

Trump choosing the latter could land this case in front of the Indian-origin judge, who is the chief judge of the DC Appeals Court.
