RajyaLakshmi Yarlagadda (alias Raji), originally from Andhra Pradesh passed away in her apartment in the United States on November 7, leaving her family and friends in deep shock.

As per a fundraising website, she was a recent Texas A&M University Corpus Christi graduate.

“Raji had been sick with a severe cough and chest pain for 2–3 days. Tragically, on the morning of Nov 7, 2025, she did not wake up while her alarm rang, leaving her family and friends heartbroken. She was a bright, hopeful soul who dreamed of helping her parents continue their farming journey,” as per GoFundMe.

Raji’s family owns a small piece of farmland in their village.

Raji’s cousin Chaitanya Yvk wrote on a fund raising website, “We are raising funds to help cover her educational loans, funeral, travel expenses (to move her body to her homeland), and some financial support to her family.”

As per reports, members of the Indian community in Texas have come forward to help expedite the repatriation process, with assistance expected from the Indian consulate.
