In a proud moment for India’s design community, several esteemed alumni from Indian institutes have been selected to serve as jury members for the upcoming Silicon Valley UX Awards 2025. The registration for the awards will open in 2025, with the winners set to be announced on October 10, 2025.

Among the jury members is Shantanu Salgaonkar, an alumnus of the National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad and currently the Product Design Lead at Meta. Salgaonkar, who pursued Graphic Design at NID, has a wealth of experience, having worked with global giants like Amazon and Meta. 

Joining him is Kalyani Tuparky, another NID Ahmedabad alumnus, who is currently a Senior Product Designer at Roblox. She studied Bachelor of Design in Industrial and Product Design at NID Ahmedabad.

The jury also includes Rupa Chaturvedi, a University of Mumbai alumnus who pursued a BSc in Physics from the university. She is the Founder of the Human Centered AI Institute and also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at Stanford University, specialising in the intersection of AI and user experience. 

Additionally, Ranjeet Tayi, an alumnus of IIT Bombay, who studied CEP in Human-Computer Interaction/Usability, will also be serving as a jury member. Tayi is currently the Director of User Experience Design (AI) at Informatica, where he leads design teams creating cutting-edge AI-driven user experiences. 

The Silicon Valley UX Awards celebrates creativity, excellence, and innovation in the field of user experience design. With such a distinguished jury comprising experts from leading design institutions in India, the awards are set to be a global platform for recognizing outstanding contributions to the UX field.

The Silicon Valley UX Awards is a non-profit organisation based in Palo Alto, California, that honors outstanding contributions to the UX field. The awards are open to applicants worldwide, including talented students and innovative organisations.

The judging panel consists of industry experts who evaluate entries based on their creativity, impact, and overall design quality.

The Silicon Valley UX Awards continues to be an important event in the global design community, celebrating the achievements of those shaping the future of user experience.
