A 26-year-old man from India’s Jharkhand was killed in a shootout in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on October 16.

As per reports, the victim, Vijay Kumar Mahato, originally from Dudhapania village under Dumri block in Giridh district, had been working in a private company as a tower line fitter for the last nine months.

The victim, who is survived by his wife and two sons, reportedly sent a voice note to his wife saying, “A bullet meant for someone else hit me… please help.”

As per reports, his wife then informed her in-laws, who were under the impression that he was being treated.
