A 25-year-old man from Hyderabad, identified as Sheraz Mehtab Mohammed, has reportedly died in a road accident in the United States. The incident took place on Sunday in Evanston, a suburb of Chicago, Illinois, according to initial reports.

Mohammed, a resident of Chanchalguda in Hyderabad, had recently moved to the US seeking better career opportunities. His family in Hyderabad has been informed of the tragedy. His father, Altaf Mohammed Khan, has said that efforts are being made to bring his body back to India.

The accident occurred just two days after another Hyderabadi, 27-year-old Chandrashekar Pole, was killed in a shooting at a gas station in Dallas, Texas, while pursuing higher education.

The Consulate General of India in Houston had expressed condolences over Pole’s death. In a post on X, it said, “Consulate General of India, Houston, deeply condoles the tragic death of Mr Chandrasekhar Pole, an Indian student from Hyderabad, who was killed in a shooting incident in Denton, Texas.

We are in touch with the family and extending all possible assistance. Local authorities are investigating the incident, and we are following up closely with them.”
