Arshia Joshi

A 24-year-old Indian-origin woman, Arshia Joshi, has tragically passed away in a car accident in Pennsylvania, USA. The Indian Consulate in New York informed about this incident on X platform.

According to the consulate, they are in contact with Arshia’s family and local authorities.

The Indian consulate stated in their tweet, “Our deepest condolences to the family of Ms Arshia Joshi, a young professional, who lost her life in a tragic car accident in Pennsylvania on March 21. May her soul rest in eternal peace.”

Joshi had graduated last year.

A nonprofit organisation (NGO), is also assisting Arshia’s family. The founder of the organisation informed the media that five mortal remains have been sent to India in the last week alone.

In 2024 itself, eight Indians and Indian-origins have lost their lives in the US. Moreover, Indian-origins are also facing attacks and backlash abroad.
