Woman in Ahmedabad stoned to death by fiancé near Kankaria Lake

A shocking murder has once again rocked Ahmedabad’s Kankaria area. A young woman was brutally killed near Gate No. 7 of Kankaria Lake, under the jurisdiction of the Maninagar police station. Police have revealed that the accused in the case is the woman’s own fiancé.

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred late at night when an argument broke out between the woman, identified as Falaknaz Pathan, and her fiancé, Mohammad Avesh Pathan. During the heated altercation, the accused allegedly picked up a stone block lying on the road and repeatedly attacked her. Falaknaz sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot.

Senior police officials rushed to the crime scene soon after receiving information about the incident. Speaking to the media, police said the murder appears to have been committed in a fit of rage following a personal dispute, though the exact motive will be established after detailed interrogation.

Maninagar police have registered a case of murder and launched a search operation to trace and arrest the absconding accused. Further investigation is underway.
