In an effort to improve the highway user experience, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) launched the ‘Rajmargyatra’ app on Aug 3. Currently, available in English and Hindi, it is a citizen-centric unified mobile application and can be downloaded via the Google Play Store and the iOS App Store.

What is the ‘Rajmargyatra’ app?

The app will provide citizens with information about India’s highways and the grievance redressal system. It is designed to let commuters know about any events or issues on the highway they are travelling on.

How will the Rajmargyatra app help you?

1. Through this app, the users will get comprehensive information about the highway network of India. It will also provide real-time weather conditions, timely broadcast notifications, and access to details about nearby toll plazas, petrol pumps, hospitals, hotels, and other essential services.

2. Users will be able to report any highway-related issues by attaching geo-tagged videos or photos. The complaints are said to be addressed in a time-bound manner. Moreover, the complainant can also track the status of their grievances for complete transparency.

3. The services of this app are integrated with various bank portals so that FASTag users can easily recharge their FASTag account. The app will offer monthly passes and access to other FASTag-related banking services.
