‘Wanted a son’, Delhi man slits pregnant wife’s throat, kills 3 daughters

A 27-year-old pregnant woman and her three young daughters were found murdered inside their home in outer north Delhi on Wednesday morning, as per reports.
The victims were reportedly identified as Anita, who was two months pregnant, and her daughters aged three, four and five. All four were discovered lying in a pool of blood inside a ground-floor room of their residence in Prem Chand Park area.
According to reports, each victim’s throat had been slit with a sharp-edged weapon. The injuries were reportedly severe, with deep cuts to the windpipe.
Family members and neighbours were the first to discover the bodies early in the morning.
Relatives said there had been no indication of violence during the night. However, police sources reportedly stated that the couple allegedly had an argument around 9 pm on Tuesday.
Preliminary inquiry also suggests that the suspect may have been unhappy over not having a male child, as the couple had three daughters. Officials said the accused, identified as Munchun Kewat, has been missing since early morning and is the prime suspect in the case.
Police are also probing whether the victims were intoxicated before the attack, as part of the ongoing investigation.
