A fire incident near the Kalaghoda area in Sayajigunj, Vadodara created panic on Sunday afternoon after two cars parked along the Vishwamitri riverbank were engulfed in flames. Fire brigade teams rushed to the spot and prevented the blaze from spreading to a nearby tempo.

As per sources, the two cars were parked next to each other near the old Rajshree Talkies when one of them suddenly caught fire. Within moments, the second car too was caught in the blaze. Local residents who noticed the flames attempted to douse the fire but could not control it.

A tempo parked adjacent to the burning vehicles was at risk, but timely intervention by the fire brigade ensured it was safely moved before the flames reached it. Firefighters then extinguished the fire in both cars.

Fire brigade officials stated that the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be determined. However, eyewitnesses claimed that a fire in nearby garbage might have spread to the parked vehicles.

No injuries have been reported. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
