Two Key Gujarat Trains Diverted Due To Non-Interlocking Work In Bihar; Stoppages Cancelled

Rail operations have been affected in Bihar due to ongoing pre-non-interlocking and non-interlocking work at several stations under the East Central Railway zone.

The work is being carried out at Rajendra Pul, Hathidah Junction Upper, Tal, Rampur Dumra and Dinkar Gram Simaria stations under the Danapur and Sonpur divisions. As a result, two long-distance trains originating from Gujarat will operate on diverted routes on scheduled dates.

Okha–Guwahati Express To Run Via Alternate Route

Train No. 15635 Okha–Guwahati Express, departing from Okha on September 25 and October 2, 2026, will be diverted from its regular route.

The train will instead operate via Varanasi Junction, Chhapra, Shahpur Patori and Barauni.

Due to the route diversion, the train will not have scheduled stoppages at:

• Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction
• Buxar
• Patna Junction
• Bakhtiyarpur Junction
• Mokama Junction

Gandhidham–Kamakhya Express Also Diverted

Train No. 15667 Gandhidham–Kamakhya Express, departing from Gandhidham on September 19 and September 26, 2026, will also operate via the diverted route of Varanasi Junction–Chhapra–Shahpur Patori–Barauni.

As a result, the train will not stop at Patna Junction on these dates.

Passengers travelling on the affected dates have been advised to take note of the route changes and cancelled stoppages before planning their journey.
