Trainee army officers on trip robbed, woman friend gang-raped by attackers in MP
Two army trainees accompanied by two women friends were brutally attacked and robbed in Madhya Pradesh by a group of individuals on September 10. One of the women was also raped by the attackers, as per media reports.
Both the trainees and their women friends were reportedly out on a ride at night near a spot near the Chhoti Jam firing range.
The attackers, armed with knives, pistols, and sticks, surrounded and robbed them after beating the army officers and holding one woman hostage.
The attackers later sent two of them to fetch the ransom of ₹10 lakh, who hurried back to the commanding officer at the Mhow Army College. The police was immediately informed about the incident by the commanding officer.
The police confirmed the rape of one of the women after the medical examination.
So far, two of the accused have been arrested by MP police with one of them having a criminal record, according to the media.
