Three Pak-backed Khalistani terrorists killed in encounter

In a joint operation led by UP and Punjab Police, three Pakistan-backed Khalistani terrorists were killed in an encounter.
“In a major breakthrough against a #Pak-sponsored Khalistan Zindabad Force(KZF) terror module, a joint operation of UP Police and Punjab Police has led to an encounter with three module members who fired at the police party,” wrote Gaurav Yadav, Director General of Police (DGP), Punjab on Monday.
“This terror module is involved in grenade attacks at police establishments in border areas of Punjab,” he added.
According to information shared by the DGP, Punjab, the encounter took place between the joint police teams of Pilibhit and Punjab in the jurisdiction of PS Puranpur, Pilibhit.
Police have seized AK-47 rifles and several other weapons from them. The deceased have been identified as Gurvinder Singh, Ravi, and Jaspreet. All three were accused of being involved in a grenade attack on a police post in Gurdaspur, Punjab.
Reports suggest that the police received intelligence about the terrorists’ hideout. Acting on this, they launched a joint operation and surrounded the suspects. The police warned the terrorists and asked them to surrender, but they refused. This led to a confrontation between the Khalistani terrorists and the police, resulting in all three being killed.
“Investigations are in progress to unveil the entire terror module,” said DGP Yadav.
