Terror suspect Abdul Rehman (20), who was lodged at Neemka Jail in Haryana’s Faridabad, was allegedly killed by a fellow inmate late Sunday night, police said.

According to officials, Rehman was attacked by another prisoner, Arun Choudhary, using a sharp, stone-like object inside the jail premises. The incident came to light around 2 am on Monday. Rehman succumbed to his injuries on the spot, Faridabad Police spokesperson Yashpal confirmed.

Choudhary is currently facing multiple criminal cases, including murder and attempt to murder, registered in Jammu and Amritsar. He was transferred from Kathua jail to Neemka Jail in October 2024, the police spokesperson said.

Rehman was arrested in March 2025 from Pali village in Faridabad during a joint operation by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and the Haryana Special Task Force (STF). He was accused of plotting an attack on the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and allegedly possessing two hand grenades at the time of his arrest.

Police said the matter is under investigation.
