Out on Bail, Telangana POCSO Accused Kills 6 Including Wife, Sons, Complainant

A 35-year-old man accused in a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case has allegedly killed his wife, two young sons, a teenage girl who had filed the case against him, and two of her family members in a chilling series of murders in Telangana's Ranga Reddy district.

The accused, identified as Rajkumar, is currently absconding, and multiple police teams have been deployed to trace him.

Wife, Two Sons Allegedly Killed at Home

According to police, the alleged killings began on Friday night at the family's residence in Shabad, where Rajkumar is suspected of murdering his wife, 30-year-old Parvathi Saritha, along with their two sons, aged four years and one year.

Relatives who later reached the house alleged that the children appeared to have been killed while asleep, while signs of a violent struggle were found in the room where Parvathi's body was discovered.

They also claimed that the doors were locked from inside and that the fan, air-conditioner and cooler had been left running.

Teen POCSO Complainant, Mother and Grandmother Also Killed

Police said Rajkumar then allegedly drove to the residence of a 17-year-old girl who had filed a sexual harassment complaint against him under the POCSO Act in May this year.

Investigators suspect he forcibly took the teenager in his car to a secluded location, where she was allegedly murdered.

According to reports, Rajkumar also allegedly killed the girl's 45-year-old mother and her 65-year-old maternal grandmother at their home.

The teenager's 20-year-old sister, who is a person with disabilities, was reportedly present during the attack but was left unharmed.

Accused Allegedly Confessed to Father Before Disappearing

Senior police officials said Rajkumar later telephoned his father and allegedly confessed to the killings before switching off his mobile phone.

He reportedly indicated that he intended to end his own life, although police said there is no confirmation of that claim.

Authorities have launched a large-scale search operation, with several police teams pursuing multiple leads to trace the accused.

Earlier POCSO Case

Police said Rajkumar was arrested in May after the teenage girl accused him of stalking and sexually harassing her.

According to investigators, he allegedly followed the girl from her coaching institute to her residence and repeatedly pressured her to accept his proposal.

He later secured anticipatory bail after the court observed that the offences invoked carried a maximum punishment of less than seven years.

Police Probe Background, Motive

Investigators said Rajkumar and Parvathi had a love marriage in 2018 and later settled in Shabad and Devalaguda.

The couple had three children, although their eldest daughter had died during infancy.

Police also said Rajkumar had a history of behavioural problems.

Family members reportedly told investigators that he had struggled with mental health issues, developed a gambling habit and accumulated financial debts.

Forensic experts have examined all the crime scenes, while investigators continue to reconstruct the sequence of events and establish the motive behind the murders.

The investigation is ongoing.
