According to police, on September 12, Naveen intercepted Akshitarani near the FCI crossroads while she was returning home.
He allegedly took her in his car and made her write a note blaming Ravi Kumar for alleged sexual assault.
Police further alleged that Naveen forced Akshitarani to consume pesticide.
The sequence of events was allegedly made to appear as a case of death by suicide.
Police Arrest Two Men
The evidence helped police reconstruct the sequence of events and identify Naveen as the main accused.
Police arrested Naveen Kumar, 38, and Ravi Kumar, 35, a Singareni overman, on September 20.
A car and mobile phones were also seized as part of the investigation.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding Akshitarani’s death and the alleged roles of the two accused.
