Tamil Nadu CM Stalin, Ajith Kumar and other actors receive bomb threat email, police say hoax

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin and actors Ajith Kumar, Khushbu, and Aravind Swamy received a bomb threat email on Sunday night, according to reports. The threat was sent to the office of the Director General of Police (DGP), prompting immediate action from law enforcement.
Police teams quickly conducted security checks at all four locations. Officers thoroughly searched the premises and surrounding areas, but no explosives were found. Authorities confirmed that the email was a hoax, though they have not yet disclosed information about the sender.
This incident comes days after a November 11 bomb threat targeting actor Ajith Kumar’s Thiruvanmiyur residence, which was also declared a hoax. Police, accompanied by sniffer dogs, carried out a detailed search before confirming the threat was false. Similar threats had also been emailed to the DGP’s office regarding the homes of Ramya Krishnan and S Ve Shekhar, all of which were investigated and found to be baseless.
Despite repeated hoax threats, Tamil Nadu Police have stated that they are determined to identify the individuals responsible, noting a recent spike in such emails.
On October 21, actress Sakshi Agarwal publicly thanked the Tamil Nadu Police for their swift response to a bomb threat directed at her residence and office. “Thank you @tnpoliceoffl #tndgp for your due diligence and immediate response,” she wrote on X.
