According to the First Information Report (FIR) registered at Indapur police station on the farmer’s complaint, Tukaram suffered injuries to his back, face, thighs and left shoulder. Anjana was allegedly hit on her right wrist and waist.
Sons Allegedly Demanded Land Be Taken Back
During the alleged assault, the brothers reportedly demanded that their parents take back possession of the land.
The FIR states that one of the sons threatened the couple, warning them to take back the property they had sold or face further consequences.
Passers-by gathered at the spot and alerted the police. After officers arrived, Tukaram and Anjana were taken to Indapur sub-district hospital for treatment.
