Shot but unstoppable: Brave army dog bleeds, yet tracks down terrorists in Kishtwar

In a fierce anti-terror operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district on Sunday, an extraordinary act of courage came not only from soldiers but also from a four-legged warrior of the Army Dog Squad, Tyson.
During a joint search operation launched by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and CRPF in the Pasarkut area, intelligence inputs had indicated the presence of terrorists hiding in the region. Tyson was tasked with leading the search team toward the suspected hideout.
As the forces advanced, terrorists reportedly opened heavy fire. In the exchange, Tyson was shot in the leg and seriously injured. However, instead of retreating, the brave dog pressed on despite bleeding and in pain. His determination enabled the soldiers to pinpoint the exact location of the militants, as per reports.
Acting on the lead provided by Tyson, security forces carried out a decisive operation, eliminating three terrorists, including Saifullah, a top commander of Jaish-e-Mohammed who had been on the run for a long time, as per reports. Following the encounter, Tyson was immediately rushed to a hospital. Officials have confirmed that his condition is now stable.
Security forces also recovered two AK-47 rifles, five magazines, and ammunition from the encounter site.
