The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has implemented a drastic security overhaul following the arrest of an insider accused of stealing temple donations. In a bid to restore absolute transparency, temple officials have rolled out aggressive new protocols governing how cash offerings are handled and calculated.

The security crackdown comes in the wake of the arrest of Anukalp Mishra, who allegedly used a specialised insider pass to access the secure counting areas and siphon off funds.

No Pockets, No Chairs: The New Counting Protocol

Moving forward, the process of tallying the millions of rupees donated by devotees will look vastly different. The trust has dismantled the traditional table-and-chair setup, forcing all counting staff to sit directly on the floor to minimize the ability to quickly conceal cash.

Furthermore, a strict new dress code requires all counting room employees to wear dark blue uniforms engineered without a single pocket.

To eliminate any blind spots or opportunities for digital coordination, the following restrictions are now in place inside the counting hall:

• Total Device Ban: Mobile phones, cameras, and recording equipment are strictly prohibited.
• Zero Personal Belongings: No bags, wallets, or personal items may cross the threshold.
• Two-Tier Screening: Every staff member must pass through a rigorous, two-stage security checkpoint.
• Footwear Restriction: Shoes and slippers must be left entirely outside the hall.

Trust Leadership Demands Maximum Punishment

The breach has sparked widespread outrage among both the millions of devotees worldwide and the temple’s top leadership.

Expressing deep fury over the spiritual and financial betrayal, Mahant Dinendra Das Maharaj, a prominent member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, called for the ultimate penalty for those involved.

‘Those who commit crimes in the house of God should be hanged directly on the gallows,’ Maharaj stated, demanding that the judiciary treat the theft not just as larceny, but as a severe desecration of a holy site.
