Robbery reported at ex-IAS probationer Puja Khedkar’s residence in Pune

A robbery was reported late Saturday night at the Baner Road residence of ex-IAS probationer Puja Khedkar, as per reports.
According to reports, Khedkar informed the police that a domestic help allegedly tied her and her family members and fled with valuables from the house. She reportedly told police that the servant, who had recently returned from Nepal, may have carried out the theft.
As per her statement, Khedkar said her parents were sedated, while she was tied up by the help. She later managed to free herself, but by then the accused had allegedly escaped with all mobile phones belonging to the family.
Khedkar reportedly used another phone available in the house to alert the police. When police arrived at the spot, her parents were found unconscious and were immediately taken to a hospital. Their condition is now stated to be stable.
Police officials said that no written complaint has been filed yet by Khedkar, and details regarding the exact valuables stolen are not yet available. An investigation is underway.
Who is Puja Khedkar?
Puja Khedkar is a Ex- IAS probationer whose selection was cancelled after she was found guilty of falsely availing OBC and disability quota benefits. The Union Public Service Commission also barred her for life from appearing in the civil services examination after concluding that she had faked her identity to attempt the exam multiple times.
Police said further details in the robbery case will emerge once a formal complaint is lodged and questioning progresses.
