Road block ahead: Traffic diversion announced on Mumbai-Pune expressway on Jan 22-24

Maharashtra Vehicle drivers are set to face traffic congestion on the Mumbai-Pune expressway as the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has announced scheduled traffic blocks for girder-launching work on a bridge.

According to reports, the girder work is set to take place near Kusgaon. As per the officials, the roadblock is planned from January 22 to 24 between 12 pm and 3 pm.

Traffic Diversion for Pune-Bound Travelers:

Pune-bound travelers will be diverted from Valvan (54.70 km from Mumbai), near Lonavala.

From Valvan, motorists will be redirected to National Highway 48 via Varsoli and will rejoin the expressway at Dehu Road.

Notably, Mumbai-bound travelers will not be affected during these three days.

Drivers are advised to plan their travel accordingly to avoid delays during the scheduled roadblock.

Earlier in Mumbai the traffic police had announced temporary changes to traffic flow in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) from January 21 to April 20.

These changes are being made to ease congestion, which has increased due to a significant number of vehicles on the road.

BKC reroute

No Entry: Avenue 3 Road will be closed to vehicles from the WeWork building gap to the BKC Connector Junction, and from the BKC Connector Junction to the NSE Junction.

Alternative Route: Vehicles can take a left turn at the WeWork building gap, then a right turn from the rear side of the WeWork building, pass under the BKC Connector bridge, proceed to the MMRDA ground, and continue from the NSE Junction to the desired destination.
