Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Vote Adhikar Yatra’ against vote theft begins in Bihar

Senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Sunday launched his 16-day ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ from Sasaram in Bihar on Sunday.
INDIA bloc leaders including Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Lalu Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav, CPI national executive member
Sandosh Kumar, Vikassheel Insaan Party founder Mukesh Sahani, etc were present at the event.
Speaking at the launch of the rally, Gandhi said, “..I am telling you from this stage that elections to the Vidhan Sabha and Lok Sabha across the country are being stolen. And their latest conspiracy is to manipulate the elections in Bihar by adding new voters and removing existing ones through SIR. But I, and all of us here on this stage, are here to tell you, we will not allow them to steal this election”.
Sharing details of his yatra in a post on X, Gandhi said, “16 days. 20+ districts. 1,300+ km. We are coming among the people with the Voter Rights Yatra.”
“This is the fight to protect the most fundamental democratic right — ‘one person, one vote.’ Join us in Bihar to save the Constitution,” he added.
Congress party spokesperson Pawan Khera said, “The objective is to spread awareness across the entire country through Bihar, that your homes are being looted, your rights are being stolen. The one power, the one weapon you have in a democracy, your right to vote, if that is taken away, then all other rights will cease to exist.”
While speaking at the rally, RJD chief Lalu Prasad said, “Throw out the thieves and BJP to save Bihar. Strengthen democracy.”
