Rahul Gandhi Targets PM Modi, Amit Shah With Sharp Attack At Congress Convention

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah during a Congress national convention at Mavalankar Hall in New Delhi on Thursday. He accused the government of being unable to face public criticism and mocked the Prime Minister’s foreign policy.

‘PM Modi Cannot Sleep At Night’, Says Rahul Gandhi

Gandhi claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi could not sleep at night and said there were both “main” and “hidden” reasons behind it.

Taking aim at Amit Shah, Gandhi questioned the absence of leaders described as “Chanakya” and “Sardar Patel”, claiming that Shah had not entered Parliament for 20 days and was witnessing the country expressing itself.

Rahul Mocks Modi’s Foreign Policy

Gandhi also took a swipe at the Prime Minister’s foreign policy, sarcastically suggesting that Modi believed hugging world leaders was itself a foreign policy.

He then hugged Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit on stage to mimic the gesture, drawing attention to his criticism of the government’s approach to international relations.

Attack On RSS And Business Groups

Gandhi also levelled allegations against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), claiming that large industrialists had gained control over the organisation.

He specifically named Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani while alleging that the RSS had moved away from its earlier base among small traders and other communities. These were political allegations made by Gandhi in his speech.

Rahul Raises Freedom Of Expression

The Congress leader also criticised the absence of press conferences and said the government was unable to face questions.

Gandhi said freedom of expression should not be suppressed and argued that even the RSS should have its right to express itself protected, regardless of political differences.
