Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has accused the Election Commission of India (ECI) of facilitating electoral manipulation in favour of the BJP, alleging that he has 100% proof of what he calls ‘vote chori’ (vote theft) during the Maharashtra elections.

Speaking at the Parliament House complex in Delhi, Rahul Gandhi declared: “I have said vote chori is happening, and now we have open-and-shut proof that the Election Commission is involved in it.”

He further added: “I am not saying this lightly. I am saying this with 100% proof. As soon as we release it, the entire country will know that the ECI is indulging in vote chori specifically to benefit the BJP.”

Rahul Gandhi claimed that when his party sought assistance from the election commission to investigate alleged discrepancies in voter data in Maharashtra, the ECI did not cooperate.

“We carried out our own investigation over the last six months,” he said. “What we’ve found is an ‘atom bomb’ and when it explodes, the Election Commission will have no place to hide in this country.”

He also called the alleged actions of ECI as ‘treason’.

“This is treason, nothing less. Whether you’re retired or still in office, we will find you,” he warned.
