Price on commercial LPG cylinder hiked by ₹49

The price of LPG cylinders has been hiked by ₹48.50 from today. However, the hike is applicable only to the 19 kg commercial cylinders and not on the 14 kg domestic cylinders.

With this, as per the IOCL website, a 19 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi will cost ₹1,740. The price of a commercial LPG cylinder in Mumbai has gone up to ₹1,692.50, while in Kolkata, the price has gone up to ₹1,850.50 and ₹1,903 in Chennai.

Since August 2024, the price of a 19 kg LPG cylinder has been increased frequently. On July 1, the price was reduced by ₹30, but was increased by ₹8.50 in August again. On September 1, the price was again increased by ₹39.

On the other hand, the price for domestic 14 kg cylinder has been unchanged for a long time. Centre, on Women’s Day (March 8), had announced a price cut of ₹100, and the prices have since been steady.
