President Murmu appoints 17 High Court judges; transfers 16

President Droupadi Murmu approved the appointment of 17 judges to eight High Courts today, while 16 judges have also been transferred.
Appointment of High Court judges
As per the notification, four judges have been appointed in Andhra Pradesh High Court, three each in Bombay High Court and Kerala High Court, two each in Delhi High Court and Tripura High Court and one each in Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Karnataka High Courts.
Apart from this, the President has also approved the transfer of 16 judges of the High Court.
These appointments come after the recommendations of the Supreme Court collegium.
Appointed High Court Judges
Judicial Officer Vimal Kanhaiyalal Vyas has been appointed as a Gujarat High Court Judge.

Transferred High Court Judges
Among the transferred judges, Justice C Manavendranath Roy has been transferred from Andhra Pradesh High Court to Gujarat High Court.
