70% respondents in US survey on world leaders don't know who PM Modi is
A recent survey revealed that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains largely unknown among the general US population, with 70% of respondents reporting they didn’t even know who he is.
The survey by YouGov, a UK-based internet market research firm, assessed the popularity of world leaders (most favourable to the least), highlighted a stark contrast between Modi’s global recognition.
It showed that PM Modi received only 2% favorable votes, placing him among the least popular figures globally. In comparison, Mahatma Gandhi earned 30% favorable votes in the same survey.
The most favored world leader in the US was Abraham Lincoln, with 59% of respondents favoring him. Other leaders who ranked high in popularity included George Washington (50%), John F Kennedy (42%), Nelson Mandela (39%), and Barack Obama (36%).
On the other hand, figures like Osama bin Laden received disapproval, with 84% of respondents voting him unfavorably.
