Protests intensified across Uttarakhand on Wednesday over allegations of a recruitment exam paper leak, with hundreds of job aspirants gathering in Dehradun to demand action against those involved.

According to reports, the Uttarakhand Berozgar Sangathan and several other organisations have called for a mass march to the state capital’s Parade Ground, where large crowds of youth have been staging demonstrations since Sunday, when claims of a leak first emerged.

The controversy centres on the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) exam, which was held on September 21 between 11 am and 1 pm. Allegations surfaced after three pages of the question paper were allegedly shared online shortly after the test.

Police have so far arrested two individuals in connection with the leak, but protesting candidates reportedly insist that the conspiracy extends beyond the two accused.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has condemned the alleged malpractice, describing it as ‘nakal jihad’ and vowing strict action against anyone found guilty.
