Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the Khalistani terrorist and leader of the banned organisation Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), has reportedly issued a new threat targeting Prayagraj, where the Mahakumbh is set to commence on January 13.

According to reports, Pannun, in a video titled “Prayagraj Chalo,” has urged his supporters to raise Kashmiri and Khalistani flags at Prayagraj airport.

In the video, he is reportedly seen stating that “Mahakumbh will become a battlefield.”

Reportedly, the threat comes days after three Khalistani Zindabad Force militants were killed in an encounter with the Uttar Pradesh and Punjab Police in Pilibhit.

Earlier this month, the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Tribunal confirmed a notification issued by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) banning Pannun-led SFJ for a period of five years.

The UAPA Tribunal, led by Justice Anoop Kumar Mendiratta, a sitting judge of the Delhi High Court, ruled that the evidence presented by the Centre established SFJ’s connections with Khalistani terror groups such as Babbar Khalsa International and Khalistan Tiger Force, as well as its collaboration with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) to revive militancy in Punjab.

It added that the evidence highlighted SFJ’s involvement in recruiting and radicalising youth using social media platforms, financing terrorism through smuggling networks to procure weapons and explosives, and issuing death threats to political figures, including the Prime Minister and the Home Minister.
