‘Pakistan an aggressor, not a victim’, says Owaisi in Bahrain

Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi, speaking during a diplomatic outreach event in Bahrain, firmly stated in an interview with Indian news agency that Pakistan is an aggressor, not a victim, as he condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir.
Owaisi, who is part of an all-party delegation sent by the Indian government, addressed prominent Indian expatriates and civil society members during his visit. He emphasised the need for national unity in the face of external threats, irrespective of internal political differences.
Owaisi said that we may have our internal issues in India, and we will continue to fight for those. But when we are representing the nation on foreign soil – especially after such a heinous attack in Pahalgam – our responsibility is to stand with our country.
Condemning the terror attack, Owaisi cited the Quran, stating: “The killing of one innocent person is like the killing of all humankind.”
Terrorism Emanates from Pakistan, Says Owaisi
In a strong rebuke to Pakistan, Owaisi told the audience, “The fact of the matter is that this problem emanates from Pakistan only. It is Pakistan that continues to shelter and support elements that carry out cross-border terrorism.”
He added that while Pakistan often attempts to present itself as a victim on global platforms, the reality is starkly different.
Owaisi clarified that while he and his party oppose the ruling government ideologically and politically, the delegation’s purpose is national and above politics.
