Pak spy network widens: UP ATS arrests Delhi man linked to Pakistan High Commission

Uttar Pradesh’s ATS has arrested another youth from Delhi who was spying for Pakistan. A person named Haroon from Salimpur area of Delhi was nabbed by ATS unit, as per reports.
It has been revealed that Haroon was allegedly in contact with an employee of the Pakistani High Commission. After Haryana-Punjab, the espionage network has now reached Uttar Pradesh-Delhi, and a total of 14 people have been arrested so far.
Haroon, who was caught in Delhi, was arrested over alleged links of contact with Muzammil Hussain, who works in the Pakistani embassy.
It has been revealed that Haroon works as a scrap metal worker, has two wives and has remarried his aunt’s daughter living in Pakistan.
His family said that Haroon used to go to Pakistan many times, and he last went to Pakistan on April 5 and returned on April 25.
In counter-espionage operations Indian security agencies have arrested 11 individuals from multiple states for allegedly spying for Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
The arrests, made over the past week, span Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh and point to a disturbing pattern– the use of civilians in everyday professions to leak sensitive military information.
According to police, most suspects were recruited through personal or online contact and offered money or incentives in return for classified information.
Security agencies have intensified their probe and are scanning call detail records, financial transactions, and passport histories of the suspects. Police have not ruled out further arrests, especially in Punjab and Haryana, where investigations continue.
Several of the accused reportedly maintained direct contact with ISI handlers, including some linked to the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi.
