Over 30 officials on UPSC radar for document tampering after Pooja Khedekar case

The recent dismissal of Pooja Khedkar from the IAS has ignited a wave of scrutiny into the integrity of the UPSC selection process. Following the Khedkar case, the UPSC has received complaints alleging document tampering by over 30 officials who were selected through the examination.
While the commission has yet to officially confirm these allegations, media reports suggest that the selected officials provided false information regarding their certificates and other details.
This revelation has prompted the government to take decisive action to prevent the misuse of disability criteria and quotas by candidates. A protocol is currently being drafted to address these concerns and ensure the fairness and transparency of the UPSC selection process.
The Khedkar case has highlighted the potential vulnerabilities in the system and the need for stringent measures to safeguard the integrity of the civil service. The government's response to these allegations will be closely watched by both the public and the civil service aspirants.
